Madonna University students burnt
The remains of the eight students of Madonna University, Rivers State, who perished in a road accident, have been laid to rest.
It was earlier reported that the tragic accident occurred on Saturday, February 18, when they were traveling from Port Harcourt to Taraba State ahead of the upcoming general elections on Saturday, February 25.
Eight students of the varsity were burnt to death in the accident that happened at TTC/Special Science School junction along the trans-Saharan road in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

Seven other students reportedly survived the incident with varying degrees of burns and injures, and were taken to the Alex Ekwueme Teaching Hospital Hospital in Ebonyi State for treatment.
The remains of the deceased were laid to the rest on Tuesday morning, February 21, at the Magami Christian Cemetery in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.

Meanwhile, a Facebook user, Tony Matinjah, has identifed one of the victims as his brother, Amamzala Donald Matinjah, a 300 level Optometry student.
